The easterplay from Hellum (CD VLS 2003, in preparation)
This easterplay has been conserved in the a for the Netherlands unique 12th century manuscript of an missale that has been used in the St. Walfridus church, at Hellum (province of Groningen, NL).

Por nos, Virgen Madre (Cantigas de Santa Maria) (CD, 2001)
Arguably, the 'Cantigas de Santa Maria' is the finest medieval collection of music. These miracle stories of the Blessed Virgin Mary were collected by order of King Alphonse X (The Wise) (1221-1284), probably in imitation of the famous 13th century collection of Marian miracle stories 'Miracles de Notre Dame' by Gautier de Coincy ( 1177-1236).

Rosas - Medieval Organ Improvisations and Marian Songs (CD VLS, VLC 020, 2002)
How does a medieval organ sound? The special sound of it which can be described as mild and a bit throaty is the result of a quite extraordinary way of pipemaking.

De Sancta Maria - songs for Virgin Mary (CD Emergo, EC 3917-2, 2001)
Between the 10th and 15th centuries a rich Maria repertoire develops, intended for a variety of occasions: Church, festivals in honour Mary, religious plays, processions, pilgrimages, and of devotional music, performed by professional musicians (minstrels) for an evening's entertainment at court.

Troubadour and Jongleur - music from Occitania (CD Aliud, ACD 92HB02, 1993)
The troubadours were first and foremost concerned with language, with langue d'oc. The performers are professional musicians: the jongleurs. The singing is supported by improvised preludes, interludes and postludes.
'Revival of 12th-century music from Occitania' (Trouw)

Intabulation and improvisation in the 14th century (CD 128836 REC/Sonclair, 1989)
We can often deduce the popularity of vocal works from the fact that instrumental arrangements (intabulations) of them have been preserved. These intabulations originated through improvisation in which the original vocal work was varied with ornaments.
'Deliciously performed, a signal recording debut' (Grammophone)
