This easterplay has been conserved in a for the Netherlands unique, 12th c.
manuscript of a missale, that has been used in the St. Walfridus church, at
Hellum (province of Groningen, NL).
The manuscript is now in the Catharijneconvent at Utrecht (BMH h 7, ca
1200, f.45)
The first performance took place April 15, 2001, during the exposition
'Hell and Heaven' in the Groningen Museum, and was broadcasted on radio,
April 16 (Second Easter).
This play is performed by 4 female singers and a male alto, directed by the
Super Librum vocal director Nancy Mayer. Antiphones, responsoria, the
Easterplay, and the Te Deum are accompnanied by the Theophilus Organ.
